barn owl album
The Barn Owl is probably my favourite bird, (hence it gets its own photo album) no matter how often I see them hunting around the farm I always feel
compelled to stop and watch as they silently quarter the fields in search of field voles and other small rodents. Over the last 2 years I have spent
many hours watching these graceful birds from my van and hides and feel privileged to have had them perched just 6m from my lens, an experience which is
impossible to describe but will remain with me for ever. Thankfully Barn Owls have become a more common site in Norfolk over recent years with
the increase in un-cropped arable land providing more habitat for the rodents they feed on. All of the Owl pictures on this site are taken on the farm.
I hope you enjoy viewing them and can get an impression of the beauty of these magnificent birds.
